faeries can place curses on other faeries by using underhanded magic and crude techniques. it is frowned upon and seen as a rather lowbrow activity, commonly used among younger faeries coming to maturation.
one of mika's acquaintances cast one upon her with the intention to kill her with her own blood. a curse like this cannot kill a faerie of my age, so i had her pass it along to me. the only way a curse can be passed is to have a willing participant.
it will wear off.

If you're so set on being alone, then I'll speak to Mika.
I'm sure she'd be willing to give me more information about this faerie in exchange.

[ he'll probably have to shake it out of her, but who knows. ]

although i am sure she will still want retribution.

i suppose whoever crossed her path has it coming.
i will not interfere, but mika must deliver the killing blow.
a witch murdering a faerie is less desirable.

Don't mistake me for the fool you always think I am.
Killing anyone outright is messy.
I'd especially prefer to avoid it with a faerie.

Besides, I'm sure they already dislike me considering our relationship and what I've taught your daughter.
